Hi all,
non ho aggiornato da un po vergognoso lo so ma oramai ho contatto con tutti su Facebook che è piu facile.
Infatti se non sei su mio facebook aggiungermi!
Che posso raccontare? Ho fatto Zelig Dark in Italiano ed è stato bellissimo ma
ora devo concentrarmi sulla serata piu importante del anno per me: Giugno 13 a Zelig.
Lancio mio nuovo libro “Instant English” con un spettacolo su Italiani e loro lotta eterno con la lingua Inglese.
Poi sto scrivendo un film ma quello è una lunga storia!
Poi vanno sempre benissimo miei articoli umoristiche (my life is a sketch) su speak up and thanks to all readers!
A volte, quando mi ricordo vengo qui a roccontare un po ma se vieni su Facebook è tanto piu facile.

‘FULL MOON‘ is John Peter Sloan‘s third comedy theatre project in Milan. (level: pre-intermediate in CEF)

Very different from the first two, Full Moon is a ‘darker‘ kind of comedy.

C.F. asked John what ‘Full Moon‘ is all about:

JPS: Full Moon is a show about madness essentially. I was reading some statistics about how reported murders, suicides and a lot of other crazy stuff doubles on the night of a full moon, so then I started researching it a little..and I discovered that men have known for centuries about the effects and dangers of a full moon. Something really does happens to the human mind on the night of a full moon

CF: but why make ‘full moon‘ comic?

JPS: I have always adored English ‘black comedy‘ and I had planned to write something dark sooner or later and so the full moon concept was perfect... in fact now I am very curious now to see how this kind of humour will go with Italian audiences.

CF: In this particular project you have cast more actors with a drama background rather than comics... why is that?

JPS: Well because that‘s what real black comedy is..the comedy is fortified by the intensity of the acting... it‘s deeper, if you will.

C: So now the script is written and rehearsals have started... how‘s it going so far?

JPS: Very, very well

CF: Why teatro Zelig for the first dates?

J: Because that‘s where I was born, as a comic.I performed every Saturday night there for two years you know, it‘s always like going home.

CF: great, I‘m looking forward to it!

JPS: not as much as me.

Hi all, sorry I haven‘t updated lately but I‘ve been away a while you know.

So we started again with Culture Shock in ‘Teatro Derby‘ on Tuesday and it was a blast..we‘ll be doing many more (every Tuesday) and it has changed a lot.

Then in november I‘ll be doing Caveman which I‘m really looking forward to...but the BIG news is that we are finally filming ‘welcome to italy‘ starting on Thursday. The project is headed by myself and andrea piana who is from Bergamo BUT he‘s very very talented... I‘m lucky really, I always have a great team around me.

This is a comedy show similar to c shock but with people from all over the world and it‘s in italian so we can do tv. It‘s the best thing I‘;ve ever written and can‘t wait!!

Anyway, now I‘m back home in England and my Mum is stuffing me with wonderful delights like steak and kidney pie and almond cake...oh yeahhhhh!!!!!... AND my team Birmingham City is TOP of division one after winning yesterday against the mighty Queens Park Rangers!!

Also, in Milan, I really found heaven....Burger King chicken wings with cherries after..my god...it‘s has to be experienced to be believed.

Anyway now I‘m off to humiliate my brother on the pool table..the young, ambitious fool has to be taught a lesson... EVERY TIME I come home... it‘s almost a family tradition hehehe...

Hi all, sorry I left it so long to update but I have been stupidly busy as I, as always, take on too many things.

For example this week I rewrote the entire Italian side of ‘NEW‘ culture shock, studied for The caveman (90 minute solo show starting in February) and now I‘m studying 5 songs I have to sing in Piazza Duomo, Milano on Saturday evening (la Notte Bianca di Milano).

I am truly honoured to have been chosen to do the Caveman..it's a truly historical show (17 years on Broadway) and I can‘t wait to get started in February. It's really really funny the way it captures the differences between men and women and explains WHY we are the way we are in a hilarious way! I was laughing a lot as I read which is very rare for me....and I'm going to do it IN ENGLISH which is great.

We started NEW Culture Shock at Zelig..(every Wednesday evening until December) and I‘m very happy with how it‘s going. We have only done four but all the new stuff is working so I‘m a happy bunny.

I made a lot of changes and am now glad I did.

Thank for your messages..I‘m always very glad to hear opinions on Culture Shock and promise to get c shock 2 finished for next year.

I‘m now going to bed as I have a great new book about Karl Marx and what he would say if he were alive today! Fantastic reading!!

Ciao tutti.

Beh, abbiamo finito i primi 5 date a Zelig con ‘Culture Shock‘ e sono ancora incredulo per come e andata. 5 serate totalmente pieni!! Mamma Mia...Io ci ho sempre creduto in Culture Shock ma mai pensavo che andasse cosi. Sono sulla luna e voglio ringraziare da cuore tutti che sono venuti a vederci. Sono inoltre orgogliosissimi di miei ‘culturinos‘... sono fortunato averli... great guys!!!!

Siamo attualmente parlando con (segreto) di fare un sit-com di C shock ma raccontero quando abbiamo fissato la cosa. In piu stiamo anche parlando con (segreto).... Cioè...stiamo combinando delle belle cose con C Shock ... and so it‘s an amazing time for us. Ho messo 4 mesi scriverlo quindi e anche un grande solievo che tutti quelli notti non erano in vano.

Comunque Zelig ci ha chiesto 2 dati in piu (24 e 25 Maggio) e Io gli ho accetato subito. E sempre un onore salire li..poi fare bella figura...mamma mia...(sigh) Poi settembre-Ottobre faremmo Culture Shock 2 (che ho gia fatto prima 30 minuti) e non vedo l'oraaaaaaa...

Altri News... hmmm... vediamo oggi ho fatto 2 servizi per Sky che andranno in onda Martedi e Mercoledi su Geppi Hour (skyshow 116) alle 23.00... poi GLOB su RAI 3 con Bertolino (mitico) che e andata in onda sta sera. Poi a breve tornero su ‘Andata e Ritorno‘ su RAI 2 a fare ‘Nick‘ il Gay Inglese.

Scapo perche sto scrivendo delle cambiamenti per 24 e 25 maggio a zelig...cosi se qualcuno torna ce della novità...
